A Blog about COVID-19 Vaccine Tracking
The following backgrounds help summarize the author's views on both the general topic: Federal and more specifically COVID-19 Vaccine Tracking as it relates to that topic.
This should be a fairly limited bills area for management the overall structures like highways, military, federal buildings, federal laws, and the like. However it has become the micro manager of all micro managers. They get involved in areas that no federal government should be involved in, and shift more power upward. This has led to each party trying to run over the other party in the eyes of the voters, all the while doing everything possible to maintain their power. They do this by holding onto all of the money, and claiming they know best how it should be spent. But they run debts so badly that no one should be looking to them as an example of anything other than the way to overspend and go further into debt.
Any tracking for vaccination purposes for COVID-19 or any known respiratory virus is insane. The bills I have reviewed so far all hold that such tracking/passports should not exist. First, this is taking your personal medical information and placing it somewhere that so many would be able to view it. Never be comfortable with that because things are always a slippery slope. Second, if the US starts tracking/passports, then other countries will always think it is a good idea. And just because other countries, namely Canada and Europe, did it, that doesn't make it a good idea.
Not sure why prohibiting tracking of vaccine information in a database that connects it to an individual would be a bad thing.

If passed this bill prohibit the use of Federal funding from tracking information that could identify any individual to whom the COVID-19 vaccine was administered. It more specifically prohibits the Federal government, including the CDC, from maintaining a database or collection this information.
This bill was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Apparently this is where it is staying for the indefinite future. I for one will be sending notification to my Representative to find out why such a simple, straightforward piece of legislation is lying dormant. I'm curious to know if they are waiting to ensure that the WHO is able to track this information, thereby claiming it is not Federal funding. Of if they have already approved the WHO to do it and think it would violate the legislation already. I will try soon to pull the WHO information regarding this tracking, which I find absolutely abhorrent. If we track for COVID-19 then we may as well track for flu as well. Hell let's just begin tracking all medical information at the WHO and forget about privacy, and the people's ability to vote because we do not vote for WHO representatives. Why not shift more things there and further from the Federal level because it's not like the Federal government is not screwing up enough stuff because it is already too far away from where it belongs. More things need to be brought back to city level.
