More Data less Fear driven
Topics here may be related to legal matters but not innately legal. For instance, discussing grocery plastic bags versus cotton cloth bags. The item itself is not legal but many city governments have placed it into legislation.
I've always found it useful to have more information rather than less. I know that statistics can be stated to support your view. And I know people do this all the time, everyone does. But I try to always look to more information to get a clearer picture of what is going on.
My first instinct, as should yours, is am I reacting entirely emotionally. A purely emotional reaction causes a lot of bad outcomes. For one, always being emotional before rational is exhausting. You can create a multitude of mental health issues by staying on the emotional rollercoaster at all times. The solutions you come up with or demand are often not addressing the actual underlying issue, they are something you want done so that you can feel better about the situation.
I understand that there are some things you are very emotional about but taking a step back and reviewing all of the data, working on being rational is more likely to lead to a solution, or at least improve the situation. Emotional reactions are often panicky, and while instinctive reactions have their place, they are not the solutions for national level problems.
So try reading through blogs here and try to rationally consider the data being presented. I do give my opinions, and even after reviewing the data I am certain we will not agree on everything. But who knows there may be things we can agree on. So give it a shot, and be open to listening.

Influenza/COVID-19 and Firearms deaths have been talked about a lot in the past 2 or so years. So I thought I'd go back and pull data over time to see what it all means. Perhaps provide a bit of perspective.
