Constitutional Centennial Park Conservation Fund
Texas is truly a Republic. There are a multitude of items that to modify the state constitution must be modified. So there are times when Constitutional amendments are on the voting ballots. While I sometimes abhor the wording, the concept that all of those legally able to vote in Texas must vote on the change is a good one. And bills in Texas are generally short, making it easier for everyone to understand.
I've seen statements concerning these constitution funds that it makes it easier for them to do what they need without running to the legislature with everything. While I understand limiting bureaucracy, I don't like the lessened transparency it brings. And I sincerely feel this fund is named using the word Centennial to make it sound like preservation of history. The fund can be used to create a new park so Centennial is there just to sound better than making it a park fund. They actually used Centennial and Conservation to cover all parks and make them seem like they are doing good.
